Mega Yachts. A mega yacht is usually a larger luxury yacht capable of carrying a dozen or more guests and crew. Mega yachts usually are usually referred as luxury yachts with luxury and onboard amenities, well designed staterooms, grand dining rooms, media rooms, jacuzzi, and many other luxury items. Mega yachts can be either Large sailing Yachts, Large Motor Yachts or Large Catamarans. Mega Yachts can also be referred as Luxury yachts, Super Yachts, Giga Yachts, Giga Boats, and Super boats. The simple rule is a yacht with a total length (LOA, Lenth Over All) of over 100 ft (30 meters) will be referred as Mega Yacht. A yacht with total length of over 60 meters will usually be referred as Super Yacht.
